Welfare Policy
The Big Bark care about the welfare of all dogs & humans attending our events.
Please read our guidelines below regarding what we recommend.
Please consider:
- Don’t leave your dog unattended in the car. If we see any dogs locked in cars we may need to seek assistance to remove them from the vehicle. Dogs die in hot cars and this will be monitored at all events.
- If your dog suffers and sudden health issues whilst at the event, please consult a member of our team as we have canine first aiders on site at all our events.
- If your dog is not social or is reactive to other dogs or noise this is not the place to bring them. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if we feel your dog is getting overly stressed.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead unless it is an activity where specified otherwise. You must have them under control at all times.
- No bitches in season please.
- We offer an array of have-a-go activities and if our team feel your dog is not fit enough for the activity they will advise you.
- Please make sure your dog has a collar with a tag on it with all your details.
- We monitor the weather conditions before each event and if we feel it is to hot for the dogs we will take the decision to cancel the event. This will be announced on social media and your tickets refunded.
- Please do not let extendable leads out as this results in people tripping over them and causing injury.
- Please pick up poo and put in relevant bins onsite.
- Please do not bring glass into the events in case of any breakages.
- Please ensure all rubbish is put in bins so dogs don’t get hold of anything they should not be eating.
- Please do not leave your dogs unattended or tied up anywhere.
- Please always ask permission before stroking another dog and make sure children do not run up to strange dogs without permission.
- Please inform us on arrival if you don’t wish to have your photos taken at the events.
- We cannot accept liability of any loss of property, damage to parked vehicles or damage to property of any kind.
- Visitors should ensure that their pet/s are fit and well on event day and that they have not knowingly exposed them to any illness or infection that could be passed to other animals.
- Canine Events ltd, its sponsors, traders, contractors, and/or agents are not liable for any illness, injury, loss, damage or death that might occur as a result of attendance at, or participation in one of our events.
- Visitors attend Canine Events Ltd’s days out entirely at their own risk.
