Our doggy journey began in April 2016, when a rescue dog called Max entered our lives.

We wanted to take him everywhere with us and so we entered the fascinating world of ‘dog friendly’! We quickly realised that there were no large, fun doggy events for pooches and owners – and the idea of ‘The Big Bark’ was born.

Crowds of dog owners joined us at our first event in November 2016 and it was full of smiles, laughter, and tail wagging!
But how our doggy journey has grown! Through our events, we have created a community in which dog owners can socialise, learn new activities, and discover the range of local services there are to care for your dog holistically.

We have become a platform for local dog businesses to meet with dog owners to promote their products and services.
We now host ‘Wags Wellbeing Days’, which increase awareness and help educate dog owners about care of their pooches, through working with an inspirational range of top behaviourists in the doggy world.

Our Doggy’s Day Out events have grown from a little Christmas venture to major events all over the South West, including at the Bath & West and Royal Cornwall showgrounds. Our interactive activity schedules include Canine Olympics, Temptation Alley and Pup Walks, plus workshops and demonstrations from amazing exhibitors. You may be joining a pawsome doggy tea party with complete with party games and a fun scurry, or festive themed games and a visit to Santa Paws Grotto at our Christmas events. With dogs’ wellbeing at the core of all we do, every event will have a canine first aider on site and every Doggy’s Day Out is run by our trained, in-house team.

All our events encourage bonding and quality time with your dog – but most of all, they are are brilliant fun!
Thanks to Max, we are passionate about supporting local rescue charities – and through our doggy events, we have raised an amazing £25,000 to date – a figure we are very proud of and for which we can’t thank our lovely community of doggy supporters enough!
