A Pawsome Pawty for Pampered Pooches.

The good old Cornish weather did us proud with a dry, sunny, but not too hot day for doggos. We held this event on the wonderful grounds of Scorrier House near Redruth.

Scorrier House is a family-run country house and estate at the heart of Cornwall and provides a picturesque, tranquil and a little bit mystical setting for weddings and events. We knew that our four-legged guests (and their humans) would be right at home.

Gates opened at 10:00 to welcome a host of happy party-goers and their owners. With waggy-tails galore, the activities got underway including a fun dog show hosted by K9 Crusaders with classes such as Ansum Boys and Gorgeous Girls (spoilt for choice here). We also created a Woodland Walk complete with dog-decorated pebbles for participants to discover. Those that found all the pebbles and identified the dog-breeds painted on them were entered to win a super summer hamper. For the more energetic hounds, there was Have-a-go Agility, Hoopers and Canine Olympics.

As ever, the event focused on supporting ethical dog-related businesses and promoting healthy attitudes and positive training methods among dog owners, whilst hosting more than 30 exhibitors from around the Southwest promoting their products and services.

Supported Charities

We were delighted to welcome and support local charities K9 Crussders Dog Welfare, Refuge 4 Pets and Hounds for Heroes.

We had an amazing day with you today and our dogs are now snoring, didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted to there was so much to do so now planning the August one at the Royal Cornwall Showground 😂 Everyone was so friendly. Special thanks to Bodmin Dog Training for their fab advice and Help for Heroes (possibly because I won a bottle of port in their raffle) and the Pimms bar, and the ice cream floats, the Poochie Packs puppychinos, Lucy D Photography and well everything and everyone! ❤
