For Dogs Who LOVE Christmas

Despite the horrid stormy weather, we had a fabulously festive fun day at the Royal Cornwall Showground. This event took place indoors, so it really didn’t matter what mother nature was up to outside. 

The gates opened promptly at 10:00 allowing a stream of happy doggos and their hoomans into the hall. We’d set up an array of fun activities for our four-legged guests including sniffing out the sausages in Santa’s Scent Trail, resisting the alluring smell of treats when called in Candy Cane Alley, and a mad scramble for sausages in the ball pool in the Christmas Lucky Dip.

The The Big Bark team was kept amused ALL day watching owners creative ways to encourage their dogs. Some even dropped to all fours to provide hands-on demonstrations!

We also hosted a festive competition at the Snowtubing Agility Course.  Participants (four legs not two) negotiated various obstacles including tunnels, slalom poles, and hoops.  The fastest dog on the day will win a fabulous prize – to be announced soon, so remember to check back. 

Of course, Santa Paws Grotto was a big hit with everyone. We’re delighted to say that our photographer was able to capture lots of beautiful photographs of your dogs with the big ‘man’ himself. They’ll be emailed to you all soon.

We think that there are going to be some VERY spoiled doggos come Christmas morning this year. With a fantastic choice of traders to browse, visitors were able to shop for everything from doggy fashions, sportswear, collars, and leads, to sporting equipment, treats, and toys!
