Privacy Policy
We at Canine Events LTD respect the right of privacy of every individual who visits our site, mobile site, social media platforms and ticketing service. Below explains how we use any personal information we collect about you.
What personal information we collect & how we use it
If you are a visitor we generally collect the bare minimum information from you (your name and your email address) but in some rare instances we may ask for more information such as your postal address and contact telephone number. If we do ask for this information it will clearly state why we need the extra information (maybe you’ve entered a competition and we need to post you a prize if you won for example).
If you exhibit with us we collect your name, business name and details, postal address, contact telephone number, website/social media addresses, Public Liability certificate and food hygiene certificate. We collect all this information so we can contact you accurately if there is a change to an event, cancellation or we need to discuss your needs at an event further and hold evidence that you are insured for an event.
We may also ask which events you are most interested in to let us know what events you may want further information on in the future.
You will be always be asked if you would like to be added to our marketing mailing list before being sent any marketing emails from Canine Events LTD. This would be via an opt in tick box either online or written. Another way of opting in to our marketing mailing list is verbally agreeing at an event by exchanging business cards or details.
Visual Personal Data
At events we may take photographs or video footage of the event to use for Canine Events LTD advertising purposes. There will be a sign upon arriving at the event letting you know that your image may be used for advertising and marketing purposes and if you are the main focus of a scene the photographer/videographer will also verbally tell you what the footage will be used for. You are encouraged at the event inform the organisers if you do not want your image used in any of the marketing or advertising.
You can also ask for the still(s) or footage to be removed post event if it places you in danger/breaks the law/you feel it is being used in the wrong context. Contact Canine Events immediately and we will remove it as soon as possible.
Sharing your personal information to third parties
Your personal information will not be sold, shared or rented to third parties or shared to anyone who is not part of the Canine Events LTD team without your permission first except in cases where in good faith we believe that the law requires us to do so, it is necessary to protect Canine Events LTD rights and/or property, or if circumstances necessitate acting to protect the personal safety of staff or of the public.
We do however share your personal details with our Data Processors who we either have a written agreement with stating that your information will not be sold and is as secure as possible or they already have policies in place to protect your details if shared on them, such as Facebook, Instagram or Google. You can contact us for our full list of Data Processors. Some of these data processors can also collect extra data such as you IP address or payment details when purchasing tickets for events.
